Group Activities
Shared Experiences that Inspire Growth
Group Activities
At 24/7 Care Your Way, we believe that shared experiences provide some of the most meaningful opportunities for growth and connection. Group activities allow participants to learn new skills, strengthen friendships, and enjoy memorable experiences in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. By offering both centre-based programs and community outings, we ensure that everyone can find activities that match their interests and goals. Whether it’s developing practical skills, enjoying a fun day out, or simply connecting with others, our programs are designed to make every moment enjoyable and enriching.
Our group activities are supported by disability-compliant vehicles, including wheelchair accessible options, so that all participants can join in with ease. We’re proud to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and able to take part.
Learning, Creativity, and Connection with
Centre Based Group Activities
Our Bonnells Bay hub is open Monday to Friday, from 9am–3pm, and provides a welcoming environment for participants to take part in a variety of engaging programs. These activities are designed not only to be fun but also to encourage learning, independence, and creativity. Popular programs include music sessions, cooking classes, gardening, art, reading groups, and dance activities. Each one is structured to inspire confidence, provide opportunities for self-expression, and build everyday living skills that participants can use in their daily lives.
Centre-based programs are also a wonderful way to create friendships in a safe, supportive setting. Many participants enjoy returning week after week, forming bonds with peers and staff while feeling part of a strong community. These connections help foster a sense of belonging, which is just as important as the skills being learned.
Exploring the World Beyond the Hub
Community Group Activities
We also recognise the importance of exploring life beyond the hub. Community group activities give participants the chance to experience the wider world while being supported every step of the way. Outings include bowling, BBQ events, movie nights, and visits to local attractions. These events are not just about fun; they’re about promoting inclusion, developing social skills, and helping participants feel more confident in community settings.
By attending regular community outings, participants build their confidence in travelling, interacting with others, and navigating different environments. Over time, these experiences help them develop a greater sense of independence and resilience, which can be applied to many areas of their lives.
The Benefits of Group Activities
Building Skills, Confidence, and Belonging
Taking part in group activities provides far-reaching benefits. Beyond the enjoyment of each activity, participants gain valuable skills that improve their everyday lives. Confidence, social interaction, teamwork, and problem-solving are all developed in ways that feel natural and enjoyable. Importantly, these activities also provide families and carers with peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are supported, engaged, and thriving.
Group activities also complement our other services, such as Social and Community Participation, Daily Living Skills, Assistance with Daily Life, Short Term Respite (STR), and Holidays. Together, these supports create a well-rounded approach that helps participants achieve their goals, build independence, and enjoy life on their own terms.
